Second Story Roof

The framing for the second story roof is well underway.  You can really start to see now how the second story will finish out. Where you see the big indention in the roof line is where the 2500 square foot patio will be!  It will be so nice in the spring, summer and fall to have lunch out there, perhaps have a meeting outside or host an event!

Design Elements Come to Life!

Work has begun on some of the design elements of our new space!  The "floating" conference room that will be a focal point in our new lobby is starting to take shape, literally!

The steel for the second story ceiling and roof is being erected today, more visible progress!

Spring Ahead!

With the decent weather we have been having it has allowed our construction crews to make some great progress!  Steel is becoming a more and more common sight both around the job site and being placed in and around the building.

We keep hoping Mother Nature deals the cards in our favor this Spring, the good weather is a must when trying to reach our ever so quickly approaching deadline!

Our "Story" Begins...

All stories are built upon a strong foundation.  This next chapter of the TrueNorth story is exciting as we begin to build out the 2^nd story of our new building that has the strong foundation of the building once known as the Cedar Rapids Public Library now supporting us!

Off with the roof!

Our contractors have started to remove the old roof to allow for the second story framing!  Progress continues throughout the whole building, we should start seeing more exterior changes each day!  For those of us in Iowa it is also a sign that nicer weather is right around the corner!

Preparation for build out begins!

The construction crew continues to pour concrete today.  The section below shows a section of the first floor celing that has to be filled in, in order to begin building out the rest of the second story.

The front of the building continues to change.  They have placed several steel beams to brace the structure for the second story build out.
